Global Sweeteners Issues 362.8 Million Shares on Bond Conversion Request

Global Sweeteners Holdings (HKG:3889) has allotted and issued nearly 362.8 million shares to Hong Kong Huasheng, a Friday filing on the Hong Kong bourse said.

The move came after Hong Kong Huasheng exercised its right to convert 33 million yuan of convertible bonds issued by the company.

The bonds were converted into shares, which represent around 19% of the corn sweetener manufacturer’s enlarged issued share capital, at HK$0.10 apiece.

Shares of the company closed 42% higher on Friday.
