Monro Customers Take Air Out of Tire Demand -- Market Talk

Dow Jones05-23

0831 ET - Monro, the automotive service and tire provider, says sales in FY24 declined nearly 4% primarily due to pressure on low-to-middle income consumers who traded down and deferred purchases in its high-ticket tire category, resulting in lower year-over-year comparable store sales. Monro slides 12% to $22.81 in premarket trading. (denny.jacob@wsj.com; @pennedbyden)
