China Gold International's Phase 2 Processing Plant at Jiama Copper-Gold Polymetallic Mine Resumes Operations

China Gold International Resources' (HKG:2099) phase 2 processing plant at its Jiama copper-gold polymetallic mine resumed operation on May 30 after approval from the Government of Tibet Autonomous Region, a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

Jiama mine operations were suspended on March 27, 2023 because of tailings overflow at the Guolanggou Tailings Dam.

The phase 2 processing plant will resume operations with a daily processing capacity of 34,000 tonnes, while the phase 1 plant will stop operating.

The company is progressing with its phase 3 tailings dam's construction and expects it to be completed and operational by the first half of 2026.
