A trustee of Scholar Education Group (HKG:1769) bought back nearly 1.4 million shares of the company in the market for around HK$6.5 million, a May 31 filing on the Hong Kong bourse stated.
The shares were bought back between May 2 and May 31 for HK$4.69 apiece and represent roughly 0.25% shares in the companyâs issue share capital.
Following the purchase, the trustee holds around 13.3 million, or 2.4%, shares in the educational company.
Shares other company were up nearly 5% in recent trade.
