A consortium led by China Everbright Water (HKG:1857, SGX:U9E) obtained a 30-year concession for the Anyang Municipal Waste Water Treatment Center in Henan, China, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Everbright will own 99% of the consortium, which will finance, construct, operate, and maintain the project through a build-operate-transfer scheme, the filing said.
The project will have a daily wastewater treatment capacity of 100,00 cubic meters with 10.3 kilometers of pipes, the filing said. Sludge from the project will be dewatered before delivery to other parties for disposal, the filing said.
Shares closed 2% higher in Hong Kong on Friday.
