HSBC China Completes Acquisition of Citi Retail Wealth Management Portfolio in China

HSBC Holdings' (HKG:0005) HSBC Bank (China) unit completed its acquisition of Citi’s retail wealth management portfolio in mainland China, according to a Tuesday press release from HSBC.

The former Citi staff, comprising 300 employees, will be employed by HSBC. Covering 11 major cities in mainland China, the portfolio of investment assets and deposits and associated wealth customers have been integrated into HSBC China’s Wealth and Personal Banking operations.
