Cosmo Metals (ASX:CMO) commenced drilling at its Kanowna gold project in Western Australia following the completion of heritage surveys last week, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.
In order to test priority targets determined by reviewing historical data, delineate new areas of gold mineralization at known prospects, and define vectors to previously unrecognized gold mineralization associated with the Kanowna Shear Zone, the drill programs will include up to 2,000 meters of reverse circulation and 4,000 meters of aircore drilling, the filing said.
It is anticipated that the programs will take four to six weeks to finish, according to the company.
