SAIC Motor's (SHA:600104) production slid 17% to 327,681 units in May from 393,566 in the year-ago period, while sales also declined 17% to 332,246 units from 400,799 in the year-ago period, according to a Saturday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
For the five months ended May, production decreased 11% to 1.5 million units from 1.7 million units a year earlier, while sales fell 8.4% to 1.5 million units from 1.7 million units in the year-ago period, the filing said.
