Sector Update: Financial Stocks Decline Premarket Friday

Financial stocks were down in premarket hours Friday with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) declining by 0.9% recently.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was down 2.4% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 2.4% higher.

Freedom Holding (FRHC) was up nearly 4% after it reported higher fiscal 2024 earnings as net revenue increased.

Barclays (BCS) has been asked to review its exposure to leveraged private equity deals as part of a UK regulator's investigation into the risks taken by lenders, multiple media outlets reported, citing unnamed sources. Barclays was over 4% lower pre-bell.
