Health care stocks were mixed pre-bell Thursday, with the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) down 0.5% and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) up 0.8%.
BioRestorative Therapies (BRTX) shares were up over 45% after the company said it is in "substantive" licensing talks for its off-the-shelf metabolic intellectual property.
Repligen (RGEN) said Chief Executive Tony Hunt will become executive chair, and that it has promoted President and Chief Commercial Officer Olivier Loeillot to president and CEO. Repligen stock was down more than 2% pre-bell.
Pfizer (PFE) shares were 0.6% lower after the company said overnight that a late-stage trial of its fordadistrogene movaparvovec candidate in young boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy did not meet the primary and secondary endpoints.
