MRG Metals (ASX:MRQ) signed a binding joint venture agreement to develop its Mozambique Corridor sands projects and other Mozambique heavy mineral sands projects, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.
The company will form the joint venture with Sinowin Lithium (HK) and SINOWIN Lithium Cobalt (ShenZhen).
MRG Metals is to be free carried through to 440,000 tonnes of annual concentrate production. The company will retain a 30% equity in the joint venture through mine start-up at 110,000 tonnes of annual concentrate production, which will reduce to 20% when the production grows to 440,000 tonnes of annual concentrate.
MRG Metals' shares closed up 300% in Australia on Thursday.
