Berkshire Hathaway, through Berkshire Hathaway Energy Co., divested 1.3 million Hong Kong shares in BYD (HKG:1211, SHE:002594) at an average price of HK$230.46 apiece for a total of HK$310.5 million, according to a June 11 ownership filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The share sale reduced Berkshire Hathaway's stake in BYD to 7.02% from 6.90%, the filing said.
Berkshire Hathaway Energy is 91.14% owned by Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway, according to data from S&P Capital IQ.
