Cosmo Metals (ASX:CMO) has begun a 4,000-meter aircore drill program at the Kanowna gold project in Western Australia, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The program will run concurrently to the ongoing 2,000-meter reverse circulation drill.
It will follow up historical drill intercepts such as 18 meters at 5.3 grams per tonne of gold and 10 meters at 4.7 grams per tonne of gold from the Don Alvaro prospect, the filing said. It will also test new targets related to structures in the project that are associated with the adjacent 7-million-ounce Kanowna Belle gold mine, the filing added.
