China Telecom (HKG:0728, SHA:601728) saw an increase of a little over 2.6 million 5G package subscribers in May, bringing its 5G user base to 334.3 million as of May 31, a Thursday bourse filing stated.
The telecommunication company logged a rise of 1.9 million mobile users during the month, following which its total mobile users reached 415.4 million.
The company added nearly 540,000 wireline broadband subscribers in May, bringing the total to 192.8 million as of the end of May.
Hong Kong-listed shares of the company closed nearly 3% higher on Thursday.
