Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipt rose Monday morning with the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index gaining 0.59% to 1,939.47.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by internet and data center service provider VNET Group (VNET) and automotive ecommerce platform TuanChe (TC), which climbed 9.5% and 5.9% respectively. They were followed by thin-film liquid display maker LG Display (LPL) and ad agency iClick Interactive Asia Group (ICLK), which rose 4.4% and 3.2% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by pet-focused platform Boqii (BQ) and brand platform 36Kr (KRKR), which fell 18% and 8.8% respectively. They were followed by media company Phoenix New Media (FENG) and computer hardware maker Canaan (CAN), which dropped 7.2% and 6.2% respectively.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by financial services company ICICI Bank (IBN) and telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which rose 1.7% and 1.4% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and financial services company HDFC Bank (HDB), which were up 0.8% and 0.7% respectively.
The decliners from South Asia were led by IT firm Sify TechnSify Technologies (SIFY) and business process management company WNS (WNS), which dropped 1.5% and 1.4% respectively. They were followed by IT firm Wipro (WIT) and biotech firm ASLAN Pharmaceuticals (ASLN), which were down 0.5% and 0.3% respectively.
