International stocks trading in New York closed lower on Friday, as the S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts dropped 0.5% to 182.70.
The European index dropped 0.4% to 178.12. The Asian index fell 0.8% to 216.06. The Latin American index rose 0.2% to 189.56, while the emerging-markets index declined 0.6% to 355.09.
Argo Blockchain PLC, based in United Kingdom, posted the largest decline, tumbling 16% to $1.07, followed by shares of Switzerland's Molecular Partners AG, which plunged 13% to $9.60. Shares of Netherlands-based Pharming Group N.V. tumbled 11% to $7.27.
Japan's Lead Real Estate Co. Ltd. was the biggest leader during the session, rocketing 22% to $8.70, and United Kingdom-based Akari Therapeutics PLC surged 20% to $3.71. Novonix Ltd., which is based in Australia, rounded out the top three leaders on Friday, with shares jumping 17% to $1.99.
