AutoNation is the latest car-dealership operator to report that last week's cyberattack on CDK Global has disrupted its business.
The company said Monday that the outages at CDK, a third-party software provider for auto dealerships, have adversely impacted operations, though all locations remain open.
CDK notified the dealer last Wednesday that a cyber incident had impacted its systems, including those that support AutoNation's sales, service, inventory, customer relationship management and accounting functions.
AutoNation said it is still working through the outages using manual and alternatives processes. The company has yet to determine the full impact of the incident and remains in regular communication with CDK.
Nearly 15,000 dealers use CDK's software to manage their sales, payroll and general office operations, according to the company's website. The outage has forced some dealerships to use pen and paper to sell cars.
Group 1 Automotive said Monday that the cyberattack and resulting outages have disrupted some of its business applications and processes in the U.S. Sonic Automotive also reported disruptions last week related to the outages.
