TotalEnergies, Nigerian National Petroleum to Develop Ubeta Gas Field

TotalEnergies (TTE) said Thursday it and Nigerian National Petroleum have taken the final investment decision for the development of Nigeria's Ubeta gas field, which will supply gas to the Nigeria LNG plant on Bonny Island.

Under the OML 58 license, the Ubeta field will be developed with a new six-well cluster, targeting a production startup in 2027 and a maximum of 300 million cubic feet per day, the company said.

TotalEnergies operates the OML 58 license and owns a 40% share while the Nigerian company holds the remaining 60%, the company added.
