Nano Nuclear Energy Acquires Technology for Microreactor Cooling from Maidana Research

Nano Nuclear Energy (NNE) said Monday it has acquired annular linear induction pump, or ALIP, intellectual property for small nuclear reactor cooling and heat transfer from Maidana Research's Carlos Maidana.

Dr. Maidana will collaborate as a consultant on developing the ALIP technology for SBIR Phase III status, NANO Nuclear Energy said.

The ALIP technology will enhance NANO Nuclear's ODIN portable micro nuclear reactor, building on prior Department of Energy grants totaling over $1.37 million.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Shares of the company were up more than 6% in Monday premarket activity.
