Sector Update: Health Care Stocks Steady Premarket Friday

Health care stocks were steady premarket Friday with the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) up 0.1% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) inactive recently.

Sarepta Therapeutics (SRPT) rallied past 33% after saying the US Food and Drug Administration approved the expansion of Elevidys to include patients ages 4 and above with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and a confirmed mutation in the DMD gene.

Ocugen (OCGN) was up almost 2% after saying the Data and Safety Monitoring Board approved proceeding with the high dose of its experimental drug OCU410ST to treat Stargardt disease, a rare eye disease, in the dose-escalation phase of the study.

Mustang Bio (MBIO) was down nearly 10% after saying it expects to raise $2.5 million from a registered direct offering of 6.13 million shares at $0.41 each.
