Six Flags, Cedar Fair Nab Regulatory OKs For Merger -- Market Talk

Dow Jones06-26

0721 ET - Six Flags Entertainment and Cedar Fair have satisfied the regulatory conditions required to complete their merger of equals, keeping the tie-up on track for a July 1 close. Six Flags CEO Selim Bassoul says the companies have wrapped a "fair and constructive" review process with the Justice Department. The companies still have some customary closing conditions to satisfy but otherwise seem poised to combine into a single entity that keeps the Six Flag name and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under Cedar Fair's current FUN ticker symbol.
