Mercury NZ to Redeem NZ$300 Million of Subordinated Capital Bonds; Shares Decline 3%

Mercury NZ (ASX:MCY, NZE:MCY) plans to redeem its NZ$300 million of subordinated capital bonds, the electric services company said in a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The redemption will take place according to the trust deed for the MCY020 Bonds on the first reset date July 11.

Shares of the company fell more than 3% in recent trade.
