Most major digital assets advanced on Thursday with bitcoin (BTC-USD) topping $61,000.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks 192 digital assets, was up 1.8% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 0.3% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 both gained 0.1%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD), the largest cryptocurrency by market value, gained 0.7% in the past 24 hours to $61,415, according to CoinMarketCap data. Trading volume decreased 2.3% to $21.8 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset, climbed 1.4% to $3,449.
BNB (BNB-USD), the third-largest digital asset by market value excluding stablecoins, added 1%, while Solana (SOL-USD), the fourth-largest, surged 7.8%
XRP (XRP-USD) was 0.4% higher, Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) was up 0.5%, Cardano (ADA-USD) gained 0.7%,and Toncoin (TON-USD) advanced 3.3%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield closed at 4.29%, down from Wednesday's 4.316%, while the five-year yield closed at 4.303%, down from 4.336%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry was 1.7% higher in the past 24 hours at $2.29 trillion. Trading volume increased 7.2% to $61.18 billion.
