Shares in Nano Nuclear Energy rose after the company agreed to a preliminary deal with Curio Solutions to optimize the nuclear-fuel recycling of its advanced portable microreactors, which are currently in development.
Shares were recently up 29%, or $6.8, at $30.24.
The nuclear energy and technology company said it will utilize Curio's NuCycle process to increase operational modularity, capacity and economic viability of its next-generation microreactors, while significantly reducing nuclear waste.
"The opportunity to utilize Curio's expertise in nuclear fuel recycling and optimize our reactors to be cleaner, more efficient and safer is a significant boon," Executive Chairman Jay Yu said.
