Argent Minerals (ASX:ARD) intersected extensive silver, lead, and zinc mineralization at the Kempfield project in New South Wales, the miner said in a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

A third rock chip reconnaissance program carried out at the Sugarloaf Hill mineralized zone discovered the mineralization. The rock chip program identified additional baritic lithologies previously unknown on the western and eastern flanks of the mineralized zone, the filing said.

The mineralization had yields of up to 99 grams per tonne of silver, 0.23% lead, and 1% zinc, it said.

Shares of Argent Minerals rose more than 7% in recent trade.
