Cosco Shipping Energy Transportation (HKG:1138, SHA:600026) expects a 12% year-over-year decline in attributable profit for the six months ended June 30 to roughly 2.55 billion yuan from 2.9 billion yuan a year prior, a Friday bourse filing stated.
The domestic oil shipping business attributed the fall in profit mainly to the absence of a gain from the disposal of five vessels which was seen in the first half of 2023.
Hong Kong-listed shares of the company closed over 1% lower on Friday.
