Southern Cross Electrical Engineering's (ASX:SXE) subsidiary, SCEE Electrical, secured a contract from Synergy to provide additional engineering services to the Collie battery energy storage system in Australia, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The new deal covers installation, testing, and commissioning support of 330 kilovolts of transformers and circuit breakers, the filing said.

It complements a contract for the 500-megawatt/2,000-megawatt-hour Collie battery energy storage system first disclosed last May 6, bringing the total value of both contracts to AU$210 million, the filing added.

The project is slated for completion in the second quarter of 2025, as per the filing.
