SK Inc. (KRX:034730) subsidiary SK E&S will commence commercial activities of an energy storage system (ESS) in Texas in the July-December period, Pulse News reported Thursday.
Recently, the company concluded the installation of a 200-megawatt ESS in Texas' Denton County and Grimes County, and has initiated trial operations, the report said.
SK E&S' US-based subsidiary Key Capture Energy (KCE) will oversee the operation of the ESS. KCE specializes in grid solutions, integrating ESS into the transmission and distribution network along with AI to ensure a reliable electricity supply, it said.
