China EV manufacturer BYD in deal for $1-bln plant in Turkey, Anadolu reports

ISTANBUL, July 8 (Reuters) - Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD Co Ltd signed a deal with the Turkish government to build a $1-billion production plant in Turkey with a capacity of 150,000 vehicles, state-run Anadolu news agency said on Monday.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan attended the signing ceremony for the plant, which would include a mobility and R&D center, Turkey's Anadolu said.
