ASM International Orders Should Beat Consensus -- Market Talk

Dow Jones07-09

1241 GMT - ASM International is expected to post orders above expectations when the Dutch company reports second-quarter earnings on July 23, Citi's Andrew M. Gardiner writes in a note to clients. He estimates orders will come at roughly EUR748 million, 4% above Visible Alpha consensus, but still at a relatively low level as more high-profile orders should land later this year. Sales should come in line with expectations, though margins are expected to exceed forecasts thanks to the group's continued exposure to China. ASM International shares trade 0.6% higher at EUR724.20. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
