BUZZ-Yihai Kerry Arawana Food hits record low after food safty report on cooking oil

** Shares of Chinese edible oil and kitchen food producer Yihai Kerry Arawana Food Group drop 8.2% to 25 yuan, lowest since debut in October 2020

** Stock on track for the biggest one-day pct decline since Aug 14, 2023 if trend holds

** In a response to reports over food safety issues concerning cooking oil transportation, co said its own inspection showed it had "fully fulfilled" supervisory responsibilities and transport vehicles were subject to strict checking and inspection procedures

** Chinese authority had said on Tuesday that it had set up a team to investigate the chaos relating to edible oil tankers transportation and will severely punish those who violated rules

** The food and beverage index gains 0.1% while

the Shanghai Composite Index eases 0.5% and the blue-chip CSI 300 Index slips 0.1%%

** Stock down 21.9% YTD
