The upward move in the Russell 2000 has pushed the index to its highest trading level since the first week of January 2022 as the small-cap index now trades at 2,211. Moreover, the top side breakout for the Russell 2000 index also has sent ripple out effects to the accompanying iShares Russell 2000 ETF (NYSEARCA:IWM), which tracks the movements of the underlying index. IWM, with its $66.67B in assets under management, padded its net assets since July 9 by $2.77B as the investor community has poured money into the small-cap fund.
