Singamas Container Forecasts Boost in H1 Profit

MT Newswires Live07-17

Singamas Container Holdings (HKG:0716) expects an attributable profit of at least $15 million for the six months ended June 30, up from $9.8 million a year prior, a Wednesday bourse filing stated.

The firm attributed the higher anticipated profit to a rise in the demand for dry freight containers amid a boost in global trade volume and port congestion, among other factors, as well as a growing leasing business.

Share of the container manufacturer and terminal operator closed over 1% higher on Wednesday.
