Argosy Minerals (ASX:AGY) signed a contract with a Korean chemical company for the sale of 20 metric tonnes of battery-quality lithium carbonate product produced from the Rincon lithium project in Argentina, according to a Friday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.
The agreed fixed price was based on Fastmarkets' 99.5% lithium carbonate min spot prices CIF in China, Japan, and Korea, with payment terms including an irrevocable letter of credit at sight and payment on receipt of original shipping documents, the filing said.
Cargo transport is expected to commence after completing the freight and export protocols, the company said.
