The joint venture between SAIC Motor (SHA:600104), General Motors, and Wuling Motors Holdings (HKG:0305) unit Liuzhou Wuling Motors saw its new energy vehicle sales surge 36% to 243,000 in the first half, Xinhua News Agency reported Monday.
SAIC-GM-Wuling's NEV sales accounted for about 38% of the joint venture's total automobile sales during the half-year, the report said.
Exports surged 16% to 107,126 units with Indonesia being its largest market, Xinhua said.
