SIIC Environment (SGX:BHK) has reported progress on several major wastewater treatment projects in China, totaling 160,000 tonnes capacity, according to a Monday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
The company's 75.5% indirectly-owned subsidiary, SIIC Environment Holdings Weifang, has signed an agreement for the Weifang City Weicheng District WWTP with a 50,000-tonne per day capacity and Quasi Grade IV discharge standards.
Additionally, SIIC Environment Holdings Beihai, a 90% indirectly-owned subsidiary, has secured the Beihai Daguansha WWTP 2nd Phase with a 35,000-tonne per day capacity and Class I Standard A discharge standards.
The Harbin City Pingfang WWTP Improvement Project has been upgraded by 45,000 tonnes with improved discharge standards to Class I Standard A.
Meanwhile, the Hegang City WWTP Project (West Plant Expansion 2nd Phase) has commenced operation, effective June 30, 2023, with a 30,000-tonne per day capacity and Class I Standard A discharge standards.
Shares of the company were up 3.6% in recent trade.
