Chinese EV maker Xpeng (HKG:9868) said it will offer the right-hand drive version of its 7-seater multipurpose vehicle (MPV) for the Hong Kong market in the fourth quarter on the opening of its showroom in the city, reported by SCMP on Saturday, citing a senior official of the company.
With the G6 SUV and X9 being the stars, the company has received over 500 orders in two months. The automaker introduced some of its models in Hong Kong on May 17.
Xpeng previously partnered with a Malaysian automotive-to-property conglomerate, Sime Darby Group, to enter the Hong Kong market in April to distribute some vehicles, SCMP noted.
