Guangzhou Great Power Energy & Technology (SHE:300438) plans to build two battery plants in the Chahar High-tech Development Zone of Ulanqab City, Mongolia, China for a total of about 2.3 billion yuan, according to the company's disclosure on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
The Chinese lithium battery manufacturer will build a 10-gigawatt-hour energy storage cell factory worth 1.8 billion yuan, starting 2024 until October 2025.
A 1GWh semi-solid battery factory worth 500 million yuan will start construction in May 2025 and will be put into production in July 2026, the Sunday disclosure noted.
