BUZZ-Trump Media shares ease in choppy trade in wake of Biden exit

** Shares of Trump Media & Technology Group were down more than 2% at $34.10 in choppy early trading Monday, a day after U.S. President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him as the Democratic candidate against Republican Donald Trump.

** Trump Media shares were slightly higher in early trading but turned lower after the opening bell, bucking the trend of the broader market, with the S&P 500 up 0.7% and Nasdaq

up more than 1%

** The stock jumped 31% on July 15 following a failed assassination attempt on Trump that boosted expectations he would win the Nov election

** DJT is up about 95% for the YTD
