CrowdStrike finally has some good news. Its chief executive George Kurtz said in a LinkedIn post on Thursday evening that 97% of Windows sensors were back online after a faulty update caused a global IT outage last week.

"To our customers still affected, please know we will not rest until we achieve full recovery," Kurtz wrote, adding that he was "deeply sorry for the disruption this outage has caused and personally apologize to everyone impacted".

The CrowdStrike stock has lost 25.91% since the outrage through yesterday's close. It was up 1.5% at $258 in premarket trading on Friday.
