Top Cryptocurrencies Jump; Bitcoin Hovers Near $68,000 Level

Major digital assets rallied Friday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) soaring towards the $68,000 level.

The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks 192 digital assets, was 5.2% higher in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 1.0%, the S&P 500 climbed 1.1%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 1.6%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD), the largest cryptocurrency by market value, advanced 5% to $67,938, with a 24-hour trading volume of $32.1 billion, down about 15%, according to CoinMarketCap data.

The most popular cryptocurrency is on pace to conclude the week with a gain of about 1%.

Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset, was up 4.9% at $3,273, but heading for a weekly loss of more than 7%.

BNB (BNB-USD), the third-largest digital asset by market value excluding stablecoins, gained 2.6%, while Solana (SOL-USD), the fourth-largest, surged 8.6%.

XRP (XRP-USD) was 0.3%y higher, Cardano (ADA-USD) climbed 8.2%, and Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) advanced 9.5%.

The US 10-year Treasury yield closed at 4.198%, down from Thursday's close of 4.256%, while the five-year yield closed at 4.08%, down from 4.145%.

The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry increased 4.9% in the past 24 hours to $2.42 trillion. Trading volume shrank about 19% to $73.2 billion.
