Coinbase Adds OpenAI's Chris Lehane to Board -- WSJ

Coinbase Global said Thursday it added OpenAI's Chris Lehane and two others to its board.

Lehane, a former aide to President Bill Clinton who also ran Airbnb's policy team, is now the vice president for public works at OpenAI. Prior to joining OpenAI, Lehane served as the chief strategy officer of crypto venture-capital firm Haun Ventures.

Paul Clement, a former solicitor general under President George W. Bush, and Christa Davies, the chief financial officer of professional-services company Aon, are also joining the company's board.

Shares of Coinbase, which is slated to report its earnings next week, fell 5.5% to $232 Thursday.
