Air France-KLM's 2Q Will Add to Concerns, JPM Says -- Market Talk

Dow Jones07-25

0924 GMT - Air France-KLM trimming its capacity growth expectation and saying it expects 2% growth in unit costs this year means the company's 2Q result holds several negatives for investors, JPMorgan analysts Harry J Gowers and Shikha Khurana say in a research note. Among them is the expectation that the Paris Olympics Games' impact on earnings will be slightly worse than previously thought. In addition, network pricing turned flat in the second quarter and weakened as the quarter went on. "This will give little confidence to the market going into Q3," the analysts say. Shares trade 3.8% higher to EUR8.22. (pierre.bertrand@wsj.com)
