Market Chatter: Bankrupt Chinese Airline Fails to Attract A Single Bid for its A300 on JD.com

Wuhan-based Uni-Top Airlines, China's first carrier to go bankrupt after the Covid-19 pandemic, failed to attract a single bid on its Airbus A300 on JD.Com's (HKG:9618) auction site, Yicai reported on Wednesday.

Despite general demand, no one bid on the aircraft, deeming it too old to be operational, Yicai added, citing industry insiders. The company previously tried to sell two Boeing 747s as well without any luck.

A court in the company's hometown declared it bankrupt in March, and creditors claimed 8.3 million yuan, according to the court's data.
