Cintas CFO Says He's Open to Larger Acquisitions -- Market Talk

Dow Jones07-25

1651 ET - Cintas would be open to making an acquisition worth as much as a couple billion dollars, if presented with the opportunity, Chief Financial Officer Mike Hansen says. The Cincinnati-based workwear rental and safety services company has recently scooped up smaller competitors in its local and regional markets. In its 2024 fiscal year, which ended in May, Cintas spent $186.8 million on acquisitions, the highest level since fiscal 2017, the company said on its latest earnings call. But Cintas is open to bigger transactions, Hansen says. "If a larger opportunity came along, we certainly would love to make that happen," he says. The company in 2017 acquired uniform rental company G&K Services for $1.9 billion. (kristin.broughton@wsj.com; @kcbroughton)
