United Overseas Bank (SGX:U11) has appointed Susan Hwee as head of group retail, effective Sept. 1, succeeding Eddie Khoo, who will become senior advisor to UOB Vietnam, according to a Wednesday filing on the Singapore Exchange.

Lawrence Goh will take over as head of group technology and operations from Hwee.

Hwee, a banking executive, will develop UOB's retail banking. Goh, with IT experience, will focus on advancing the bank's technology strategy.

Khoo, who has been pivotal in growing UOB's retail operations, will now support UOB's expansion in Vietnam.
