G.H.Y Culture & Media (SGX:XJB) expects to report a net loss for the half year ended June 30, according to a Friday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
The anticipated loss is primarily due to the cancellation of a soccer tournament scheduled for January in Shenzhen.
The group incurred costs related to the tournament's cancellation, including collaboration fees paid to Al Nassr and other associated expenses.
The company is negotiating a supplemental agreement with Al Nassr to potentially offset some of these costs against future fees for a replacement tournament.
