Arizona Lithium (ASX:AZL) said the environmental pre-disturbance assessment and the construction of pad location #2 have been completed at its Prairie lithium project in the Williston Basin of Saskatchewan, Canada, with the first two wells licensed for drilling, according to a Monday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.
In November 2023, the company finalized and cleared ground for its first commercial location, pad #1. Each pad will produce 2,000 tonnes per annum lithium carbonate equivalent with an initial production target of 6,000 TPA LCE, the filing said.
Drilling and completion activities are currently underway at pad #1, the company said.
