Sapphire Foods India's Consolidated Attributable Profit Slumps in Fiscal Q1

Sapphire Foods India's (NSE:SAPPHIRE, BOM:543397) consolidated profit attributable to owners tanked to 85.2 million Indian rupees in the fiscal first quarter from 249.4 million rupees a year ago, according to an Indian bourse filing on Tuesday.

Earnings per share in the quarter ended June 30 fell to 1.32 rupees from 3.88 rupees a year earlier.

The restaurant company's revenue from operations rose year on year to 7.18 billion rupees from 6.54 billion rupees, the filing said.

Shares of the company went up almost 2% in recent trade.
