Sichuan Baicha Baidao Industrial (HKG:2555) approved the proposal of withdrawal of distribution of the 2023 annual dividend, a Monday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange said.

The company had previously recommended and approved a final dividend of 0.28 yuan per share to be paid on Aug. 1, to the shareholders on record as of July 5.

The company decided to retain the funds that could have been allocated for the, to be distributed, dividend for its daily operational needs based on the current market conditions.

The company is still preparing an adjustment for the dividend distribution and will update the relevant parties when applicable.

The company's shares were down nearly 3% on Tuesday's close.
